Our Instructors

Guitar & Bass

Noah Detert

Noah is our senior guitar instructor. Noah has a natural gift for music. He began learning piano at age 4. He received a guitar for his birthday at the age of 9 and has played it as his primary instrument ever since. He taught himself over 50 chords in the first two years, and has continued his musical education with professional instruction in rock and jazz styles. He has a strong base in theoretical concepts and is very comfortable creating original compositions.

In addition to creating new music, Noah enjoys mixing, recording and production.  He is currently working on recording original material and building a repertoire of cover songs in the hopes of performing with his band.

Noah has performed live since the age of 11.  He has begun playing Open Mike nights at SoundLab Studios in Sherwood Park and is a new member of the rotation of worship musicians at the newly opened Southwest campus of Beulah Alliance Church.

Noah is a third year B. Mus in Jazz/Contemporary Pop student majoring in Recording and Production at MacEwan University.

He is a second-year student of the MacEwan University Bachelor of Music Program, majoring in Performance. 2022 will be his fourth year teaching with Noah's Guitar Lessons.
